Local farmers come together around holistic grazing and planned livestock movement to restore degraded grazing areas and encourage the regeneration of veld grasses. Through communal livestock management, ABAVUSELELI works towards healthier land, reduced degradation and greater resilience for farming communities.

Decisions about land and natural resources are rooted in community participation. ABAVUSELELI also values ecological indigenous knowledge and encourages communities to bring their knowledge and experience into decisions about the sustainable management and restoration of their environment.

Decisions about this land are made under the shade tree with the whole village present, not behind closed doors.
